Level 2 consists of 8 sessions, 2 hours each, and is designed for Level 1 graduates. The course focuses on building strong scenes, storytelling and the concept of the Game.

Sessions 1-4 focus on:

• beginning of the scene, making bold choices;

• moving the scene forward, finding the conflict;

• creating the game character;

• storytelling skills;

Sessions 5-8 focus on:

• finding the first unusual thing;

• establishing patterns;

• playing the Game of the scene;

• raising the stakes of the scene and justification;

• telling monologues;

• playing a format based on the Game.

At the end of the course the students will be able to showcase their skills at the graduation show.

Language level: Upper-intermediate English

Improv level: intermediate

Author of the course and instructor 1: Dina Mild — an improv and theatre trainer, with more than 7 years of experience teaching students and improv instructors. She’s the founder of Moscow Improv Club, a radio host at Capital FM Moscow, podcaster.

Instructor 2: Sergey Ilchenko — an experienced improviser and performer, a member of the main cast of Moscow Improv Club, he performs and hosts shows on a weekly basis in the centre of Moscow.  

Time and dates: Level 2 launches on Thursday, March 4.
Classes are Every Thursday 20:00-22:00 — March 4, 11, 18, 25; April 1, 8, 15, 22.
